Football Friday Part 2

Back at it with another tailgate look, I have teamed up with 10 other bloggers to style orange for gameday! I think this dress would work well for a game in the middle of the season when it is still warm out but you still want to dress like it is fall. The light fabric and loose fit make it great for warmer weather, but could easily be layered for colder weather later in the season as well. In case you missed our first orange looks, you can find them here!

Don't forget to check out the other bloggers participating in Football Friday!

Pantone Fall Colors for 2016: Potter's Clay and Bodacious

Riding boots | Pointy toe flats | Tortoise statement earrings | Pom pom key fob | Floral bag | Printed scarf | Lace dress | Suede dress | Bow sleeve top

It is the last week of September, and also the last week with a post about the Pantone colors for the season. I know I said last week Lush Meadow was probably my favorite of these ten colors, but this Bodacious color is a very close second. It is basically the same as the Radiant Orchid color of the year for 2014, which I also really loved. And I think this Potter's Clay color is the perfect fall neutral, and I personally like that isn't such a dark hue. As I said last week, I also think these colors go really well together, although I would not normally think to pair them myself. These colors have definitely given me some new ideas for outfits for the next few months.
Check out my posts for the other Pantone colors: Riverside and Airy Blue, Sharskin and Aurora Red, Warm Taupe and Dusty Cedar, and Lush Meadow and Spicy Mustard!

Lilly Pulitzer Kelly Pants Styled for Work

Lilly Pulitzer Kelly pants | Ralph Lauren button down | Stella and Dot Parker sunglasses c/o | Very similar Vince Camuto heels | Very similar Kate Spade bag | Mark and Graham pom pom c/o

I don't think it would surprise anyone that I try to bring as much color to work outfits as any other outfit I wear. I was so happy these pants were included in the recent Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale! They come in so many fun prints (this one is from last spring), they're comfortable, and they are even a good length on my short legs. I'm kind of convinced I need them in more prints and I will be on the lookout for them in future sales!

Pantone Fall Colors for 2016: Lush Meadow and Spicy Mustard

Heeled sandals | Shirt dress | Mustard tote | Textured skirt | Green tote | Printed flats | Peplum top | Suede jacket | Midi skirt

Here's a little color for your Wednesday, more specifically Pantone's colors for fall 2016. These are probably my favorite two colors of the 10 picked for the season, Lush Meadow and Spicy Mustard. This may just because they are on the brighter end of the fall color spectrum. Anyway, I think these colors also look great as a color combination. And, I love that they are both included in some prints this season!

My After-Work Routine

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Tazo® Tea for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Now that I have been working full time for a few weeks, I thought I would share my after-work routine!

5:00pm- I leave work and head back to my apartment for the day.

5:20pm- I check my mail, pick up packages if there are any (with the new apartment there have been quite a few), and change out of my work clothes.

5:45pm- I turn on the TV, and make some Tazo® Tea. Usually in the Passion® or Wild Sweet Orange blends. I have always enjoyed both of these blends, they were one of my favorite things to get in between classes when I was in college. I usually have some caffeine in the morning and that's just about all that I need for the day. I love these Tazo teas because they are just a delicious hot drink and these specific herbal blends don't have the extra caffeine in them. But if you prefer the extra kick, the Zen green tea or Awake™ English Breakfast black tea may be a better option for you. You can find out where to find Tazo near you, here

6:00pm- If the lighting is good in my apartment that day, I take some pictures for Instagram or a future blog post. I usually take a lot of outfit flatlays all at once. Which also leads to outfit planning for work and outfit posts for the blog! I think I have spent up to an hour just messing around with my closet after all I planned to do was take one photo.

7:00pm- I typically make dinner around this time, but it depends on the day. I have been trying to learn how to cook for myself, but I usually end up making something like eggs with spinach and feta, chicken quesadillas, or a frozen pesto pizza.

8:00pm- I get started on blog work around this time. Sometimes it doesn't take up much of my day, other days it takes up most of the time left until I go to sleep! If I shoot outfit photos after work, this entire evening routine gets bumped about an hour or two. We usually take the photos around 6:00 for lighting purposes.
10:30pm- Time to get ready for bed. I shower and dry my hair at some point between dinner and this time, so I'm usually already in my pajamas. I wash my face, brush my teeth, plan my outfit for work if that hasn't been done already, and sometimes get my lunch ready for work as well.
11:00pm- Time to sleep! Well, this is the time I hope to get to sleep. It sometimes ends up more around midnight, which is a lot better than the 1:00 or 1:30 bed time I had in high school and college.

Pantone Fall Colors for 2016: Warm Taupe and Dusty Cedar

T-shirt | Arrowhead earrings | Fringe scarf | Trench | Scallop wallet | Pleated maxi skirt |
Crossbody bag | Ankle boots | Skinny jeans

Another week of September, another post breaking down the Pantone fall colors! This week the colors are Warm Taupe and Dusty Cedar. I like the taupe color, I think it's a great neutral for all seasons. However, I don't think I would be able to pull off the cedar color. I tend to avoid most brown-ish colors because my hair blends in with them. It's also no secret that I am not really a fan of dull colors in general...anyway you can read the first two posts the Pantone colors for fall about here and here!

Polka Dots and Pleats

Comme Toi polka dot top | Similar skirt | J. Crew Gemma flats | Stella and Dot Hayes bag c/o

I'm having a lot of fun with workwear lately. I think it gives me extra excuses to wear really feminine pieces like this bow top and pleated skirt. Now that is it is still in the 90s I wear this top on its own, but I could see it paired with a jacket and pants for fall. I also have been having fun with large tote bags like this one with fun tassel accents by Stella and Dot!

I took these photos with Annaliese of Southern Belle in Training and someone offered to take our photo. If you are in the Charlotte area we will both be at a shopping event at Banana Republic in SouthPark mall with some other Charlotte bloggers this Thursday at 6:00!
