Shades of Blue

I bought this navy skirt at the beginning of the summer and for some reason haven't ended up getting it on the blog yet. I plan on wearing it quite a bit at new internship for the semester. I also managed to find these Kate Spade Tessa sandals for $40! They were originally $228, gotta love TJ Maxx! I also have brought back this J. Crew top from 2 years ago that I still love. Also school has been back for a week now, so there might be a lot less outfit posts now that I'm away from my blogger bestie Sarah who took almost all of my photos all summer :/

Looks for Less: Celebrity Street Style 3 (Fall Transition Edition)

Here's another Look for Less post on Celebrity Street Style! I did one of these last spring, and last summer, and now it's time for a fall transition version. I try to keep these consistent with my personal style, which is quite different from a lot of celebrities, but I these are so fun to make. I hope they inspire some outfits for fall!
You can shop my suggestions for affordable alternatives (and current ones because some of these looks are fairly old) with the widgets below the photos!

I love this look from Rachel Bilson. It could also easily be dressed down with flats or boots with skinny jeans!

Emma Stone in the cutest plaid jacket. A simple outfit, but the jacket makes such a nice statement!

Lauren Conrad looking classically chic as always. This is something I have definitely been inspired by, I would wear something like this all the time!

Red Right Return

I know everyone is probably done hearing about the recent Lilly Pulitzer sale, but the top in this post is from it... I shopped online and got a t shirt dress that I can't wait to wear to transition to fall! But I also got this top in store at Belk, for only $30! I have loved the Red Right Return print since it came out, but it seemed like almost every item in it all sold out so quickly at my local stores, and it didn't last very long at all during the online sale. So, I'm glad I was able to get something in it, I'll be wearing it a lot for this last bit of warm weather! Also today is my last first day of school!

Lilly Pulitzer Lei Lei halter top (still available here, and possibly still in some stores)| Joe Fresh white jeans (now only $13!) | Jack Rogers wedges (older version of these, on sale!) | Kendra Scott Frances necklace (borrowed from Sarah) | Kate Spade bag (retail version, mine is from the outlet) | Kendra Scott Ripley bracelet c/o RocksBox (use code "caralinastylexoxo" for your first month free!) | Loft druzy bracelet (sold out, similar) | Karen Walker Super Duper sunglasses, borrowed from Sarah, rented c/o Ditto (use code CARALINASTYLE for your first month free!)

My Gallery Corner

I'm all moved in for my senior year of college! For every year of college, I really like to decorate the wall by my bed. This year I did more of a little corner! Since it was just for the semester I didn't want to do a whole lot, so I got all of these prints for free online, printed them out on card stock, and hung them with washi tape. Which is very similar to what I did last year.
Unfortunately, the washi tape hasn't been holding up very well. We don't have air conditioning so we have the windows open, and it's super windy here. So a big gust of wind comes in through the screen and a print or 2 either comes loose or falls down...I'll have to tape the back of the prints or tack them down or something!

All of the prints I found from this post by Classy Cathleen, and the washi tape is from Target and Michael's!

The "Understated is Overrated" print is actually a post card that was free at the register at the Kate Spade store in NYC

Gem print | Flamingo print | Gold foil print used to come with Kate Spade orders (they are now green with white text)

Wear Now or Later: Fall Transition Dresses

It seems like everyone is already so excited for fall, but it's still only August! I'm only in NC for a few more days, but I know it won't start really feeling like fall until at least mid October here. Where I go to school in PA, it gets colder quicker, but it's still quite hot at least for the next few weeks. So I've been thinking about buying some pieces I could wear now while it's still hot out, but I could also easily wear with different pieces like shoes, accessories, and things I could add layers to. So here are 5 dresses that look a little more like fall dresses, but could easily be worn now as well!

A Pop of Orange and Scallops: Collab with Madeline of The Black Barcode

Today I'm styling scallops with I've also had these shorts for over a year but for some reason have been put them on the blog. So when Maddy of The Black Barcode! We've also done Rockstud inspired heels in March and white dresses in June. I've grown up in a Clemson University family. My dad and 3 my cousins went there, now my brother and boyfriend both go there, so orange is always encouraged. This split neck top has such an exciting pop of orange in it, and I got it on major sale, which always makes things better!
This is a somewhat casual look that I wore while I was in Florida a few weeks ago, and a few other times for dinner and shopping! And again, I'm wearing black in the summer, it might be a new record! I probably made up for it with the abundance of color in Monday's post....and the pink wall I was standing in front of!

J. Crew Polyensian floral notched shell | Similar scallop shorts (mine were from Marshall's) | Kendra Scott Addie earrings c/o | Kendra Scott Rory bracelet c/o | Gorjana bar necklace c/o Rocksbox (use code "caralianstylexoxo" for your first month free!) | Loft rings | Very similar Michael Kors gold sandals (adult size version, mine are from the kid's section of Marshall's) | Very similar Kate Spade bag (mine is from the outlet) | Ray Ban Erika sunglasses | Essie "Roarrrrange" nail color
And don't forget to check out Maddy's post in this blue scalloped dress!
