5 years ago yesterday, I decided to start this blog. I'm not one for sappy posts about how much blogging means to me, but I am really happy I have stuck with it for this long. It started out as just a fun way to share my style. It has turned into the best hobby/side hustle, providing: a way to express myself, a way to work with brands I have always admired (and discover new ones!), a way to learn a lot about business that I never would have learned in school, a way to connect with a lot of like-minded women, and a way to make some extra income. To celebrate 5 years, I have decided to break down how the blog has evolved with a little timeline.
2013
2014
In 2014, I still wasn't posting very regularly. But I started working with a few brands and posting more outfits when I could! I had a busy college schedule (typically 6 classes, dance rehearsals, and an internship), so I usually only had the chance to take photos during breaks from school.
2015
It wasn't until 2015 that I started taking blogging a little more seriously, and treating it like a business. I started planning out my content in advance, posting a set amount of times per week, using social media for business purposes, learned how I could generate income, and expanded my knowledge of programs like Photoshop.
2016
In 2016, I had just graduated from college and was only working part-time. So, I had a lot of time to devote to the blog. This was when I really started regularly posting, worked with more brands, and even attended a blogging conference!
2017
In 2017, I had been working full-time for a few months. So, I adjusted to balancing my job and the blog. And I also started working with a professional photographer!
2018 (so far)
We are still very early into 2018. But, this year I hope to just continue what I have been doing. I also hope to start posting more fitness content, and maybe some Charlotte-specific content as well!

As always, thanks for reading!
2013
In 2013, I was figuring out how to do this whole blogging thing. I did not really understand how it all worked, and I maybe posted a few times per month. The blogging world is very different today than it was during my freshman year of college!
