Summer Skincare with Alba Botanica

This post is sponsored by Alba Botanica and Her Campus Media. All opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Caralina Style possible!

Let's talk summer skincare! I keep a steady rotation of sunscreen and exfoliants going as soon as it gets warm outside. I'll be spraying Alba Botanica's Hawaiian Sunscreen Coconut Clear Spray SPF 50 for my days at the pool and lake. And for a post-sun detox at the end of those days, I'll be using Alba Botanica's Hawaiian Detox Warming Mud Mask.

If I am spending any extended time outdoors, I am wearing sunscreen with SPF of at least 50 on my pale skin. I burn easily, and I do not try to tan much. So, I am absolutely loving the Hawaiian Sunscreen Coconut Clear Spray SPF 50. It is an air powered spray, that is both biodegradable and safe for coral reefs! I have always found spray sunscreen easier to use, but not all sprays work the same. I have already worn the Alba Botanica spray a few times, and I think it provides great sun protection! It is water resistant (for up to 80 minutes) for pool and beach days, broad spectrum protection, and has a lovely coconut scent. I don't normally like the smell of coconut, but I think this spray smells great!

I feel like after every beach vacation, or even some days at the pool, the sun really dries out my skin. So this is where the Hawaiian Detox Warming Mud Mask comes in. It is hypo-allergenic, and ideal for oily or blackhead-prone skin. This mask naturally warms, which feels relaxing while it is softening and priming pores to extract pollutants embedded within skin. I have struggled with acne since high school, and my oily skin has done very well with this mask. I was thinking it would be similar to a charcoal mask, but it feels lighter on your face, and is only left on for a few minutes. Along with an all-over smoothness of my skin, I saw better results (particularly for blackheads) from this mask than charcoal masks I have used in the past. Over 92% of consumers tested said their skin felt deeply cleansed and detoxified after using this product, and I agree with them!

I may not be going to Hawaii anytime soon, but I'll be taking care of my skin with Alba Botanica's Hawaiian inspired products while I spend time out in the Carolina sun this summer!
