Hi everyone! So Hannah and I really wanted to do outfit posts today, but it was so cold we had to take the pictures inside. So excuse the cinder block walls, we just couldn't stand in the -10 degree wind chill long enough for pictures! So here is basically how I dress for really cold weather, again...I'm not sure what I would do without my fairisle sweaters and snow boots!
Hi everyone! I started receiving Birchbox this past December. If you don't know what it is, Birchbox is a subscription service where they send out a box full of beauty and hair product samples every month. They also have an option on their website to buy the full size version of the products. I've gotten some really awesome products from my first 3 boxes and I thought I would share some of my favorites! I haven't bought any full sizes of the samples from birchbox.com yet, but I do plan on getting a few once I run out of the samples. I can't wait for my March box!

I've never tried Color Club nail polish until I got this one in my first box, it's called Dark N Stormy and it's one of my new favorite colors!
I've never been a huge fan of Chap Stick brand before, but this one made me change my mind, it's pretty awesome!
This Beauty Protector de-tangling spray works so well, I've been getting a lot of tangles lately and this has been a big help!
Toni and Guy heat protecting spray, I usually just straighten/curl my curl and not care about what the heat does to it, but this spray makes my hair so soft after straightening it!
This pore refiner is amazing! I have oily skin and this is made for it, so I don't have to worry about it breaking me out and it's great under foundation.
Do you get a Birchbox subscription? What are some of your favorites?
Hi everyone! So I was looking through the lovely Stripes and Peonies blog not too long ago and she had been illustrated by Cheeks and Heels. She is an amazing artist in Italy! She was hosting a giveaway for a custom illustration, and she made one for everyone who entered! Here is mine, I love it so much! It is from the outfit I wore in this post, from December. Don't forget to check out her blog to see her other work too!
She also put me and Hunter of Prep on a Budget together since we both sent her pictures of us in the snow!
Thanks so much to everyone who has taken the time to read my posts, leave a comment, and follow me as I blog through college in the past year! This year has been so great and I think I've found something I really love to do. For my second year I hope to expand my blog even further!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I'll be spending my day going to class, spending time with my friends and a late rehearsal. My valentine is my boyfriend, who lives 10 hours away and he sent me some very sweet gifts! Including several boxes of chocolate, and shirt with his fraternity letters on it, and a picture of my school and his school and the miles between us. The sweater I'm wearing is my Valentine present from my parents, they knew I've been wanting it for a long time and I was so excited they sent it to me! I hope everyone has a great V Day!
Ballet class this morning, we got to wear pink and red instead of the usual black!
Sweater: J. Crew, Shirt: Ralph Lauren (similar), Jeans: J. Crew (similar), Shoes: Elaine Turner (old, from Rue La La), Bracelets: Alex and Ani, J. Crew Factory, Sassy Steals, Headband: J. Crew (old, similar), Earrings: Honora pearls
Hi everyone! I'm teaming up with Luxe Link, a company based in Los Angeles to show you how to "love your purse" by hanging it instead of putting on the gross floor/ground! They sent me 3 of their patented purse hangers (with a really sweet Valentine note!), and I'm giving away 2 of them! These links have 2 US patents and they can also double as a bag charm! Also use code SOUTHERNSAVVY20 for 20% off your order!
The 3 lovely links! Pink swarovski crystal, houndstooth and a pink floral!
They have magnets on the back so it stays on the table
The packaging is just too cute, each one says "love your purse!" on the inside
Step 1: unwrap the links
Step 2: extend the pin
Step 3: put it on the table
4: hang your bag there
I first hung my large/wristlet clutch on it
Next I tried a larger tote bag to test the weight
Holds up great!
Lastly, I tried my very large dance bag
And even holds this up!
So to conclude, these hold bags super well! I'm not a big handbag person myself, I was in high school but when I got to college I just kinda stopped carrying them (I actually sold most of mine) but these are even great for large tote bags! They hold them to keep them off the ground and they can be put on the bag when you're carrying them! Enter below, 2 people will one of these links!
