It has been a while since I have done a looks for less post, and they are some of my favorite to make! I usually make these for very neutral items, but I thought I would try it with a trend this time. I personally always look for trendy items on the more affordable side, so here are some things I have been admiring in velvet this fall.
I mentioned this in Wednesday's post already, but I am so excited my best friend from college is visiting this weekend!
Also, I went to another barre class earlier this week. I haven't been involved in ballet in about a year and a half now, and I have finally found a workout that I enjoy!

It's been awhile since I've done an Instagram roundup, so here are some of my latest snaps. Follow along if you aren't already, @cara_194!
My best friend from college is coming to visit, and my bar cart is ready!
I spent last Sunday with some fellow Charlotte bloggers at Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill near Fort Mill, SC. We couldn't actually pick any apples because they had been cleared out at the beginning of the season, but we still had a lot of fun! We enjoyed apple cinnamon donuts, walked around the orchard, and found this field of sunflowers.
At the opera in uptown Charlotte last week.
Opera Carolina offers a Tweet Seats program, so a group of influencers were seated where we could live post the opera while it happened. As the holder of an Arts Management degree, I thought it was a great idea and I loved being a part of it!
One thing I do like about fall is brining out pieces in burgundy and red shades!
Dressing for fall by just layering some slightly darker colors than I usually wear
I've been dressing for fall in Charlotte with outfits very similar to this one lately. It has just recently started to cool down, so items that come in fall colors but are still light have been just perfect. I've worn the pieces of this look to work on repeat lately. This top goes well with a few of my skirts and solid pants, and these heels go with a lot more than I thought they would! I found them for just $5 back around Labor Day at H&M and I have been pleasantly surprised in the quality.
I have started going to Pure Barre classes, and I am obsessed! I never really liked working out, but these classes are just what I need because they are based on some of the things I did in dance classes for so many years.
Today I'm going apple picking with some fellow Charlotte bloggers. It doesn't really feel like fall here yet, but we're going with it!

Today is the last of 3 tailgate looks for football season with a group of 10 other bloggers. This has been such a fun little linkup, I have gotten some serious tailgate inspiration from these girls!
For this last post I went with Clemson's secondary color, purple with orange accessories. I would not normally wear these colors together, but I will for my family's school, and the tigers. Sorry none of these products are current (the dress is from Shoptiques last year and the necklace is from a little boutique 2 years ago), but I think I found some similar alternatives!
Don't forget to check out the orange looks from the other bloggers below!
I'm sorry I didn't post all last week! I really don't have an excuse for the absence, I just haven't had time to shoot any outfits and couldn't think of any other ideas. I think last week was the first week in probably 2 years I didn't get a single post up. But now I'm hoping to be back at 3 to 4 posts per week!
On to the outfit, I wore this to a Belk shoe shopping event for Sam Edelman last week. Sam himself was there, it was really nice to meet him. If you have ever bought a pair of Sam Edelman shoes, you have probably seen his signature before on the inside of the shoe. He was signing shoes at the event, which was pretty cool to watch! This chambray romper from Gap is so comfy and has been perfect for transitioning to fall.
Dressing and decorating classic style in North Carolina, working in e-commerce, obsessed with fitness classes, spends too much in antique stores.
