Today I am taking part in the Rainy Day Link Up hosted by Connie of Prep Northwest and Michaela of Monogrammed Midwesterner. It's kind of funny I was asked to do this I think a day before we were supposed to get a snow storm...so my outfit for this post is in the snow, but it includes my rain boots! So I guess I can say this is how I dress for frozen rain...I am also including what I like to wear on actual rainy days. Anyways, they are also having a giveaway for a monogrammed rain jacket. So you should also check out the other posts in the link up!
For real though, I need summer back. We got about 9 inches of snow in 1 day and it just won't stop snowing!
We took these photos my internship on our lunch break, my fellow intern Alina is from California, it was her first snow!
Coat: BCBG (old, similar), Sweater: Lilly Pulitzer (last year's color, this year's colors), Chambray: Madewell (old, similar), Necklace: J. Crew (old), Corduroys: Ralph Lauren (via TJ Maxx, similar), Boots (and liners): Hunter, Gloves: Gift (similar)
On an above freezing rainy day I would usually wear:
What’s your favorite way to keep warm on a rainy day? My flannel lined rain jacket!
Are you a hood, umbrella, or both kind of girl? Both, definitely both
What is your best hair tip for a rainy day? Baseball caps are your friendWhat's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day? Napping. There's just nothing like falling asleep to rain!
Thanks for reading!
Oh my goodness I can't believe y'all already have that much snow! Such a cute snow day outfit though. I am loving following along with everyone's post in this link-up! Michaela's blog is a favorite of mine too! :-)

It's insane!! Lake effect snow is not my friend! Like we're supposed to get another like foot and a half within the next 24 hours, and thank you!!
DeleteWe got an inch or two here way up North, but it looks so pretty in PA! I love this look overall, but the sweater was such a nice touch! How cool is this linkup? :)

Thanks! Linkups are the best!
DeleteI love that you're wearing that sweater in the snow! We only got a little snow in Pittsburgh this weekend, but it's going to be so cold tomorrow, and I'm not happy about it.

Thanks, I got it form the Endless Summer Sale and I knew I had to wear it for the first snow! And I'm like 2 hours from Pittsburgh, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow either!
DeleteOh, wow. I've been complaining all day about the cold front coming tomorrow (the high is 50), but I think I'll suck it up now! At least you still have a cute outfit in the snow!

Yeah for our cold front tomorrow the high is going to be 22...luckily I'll be going home to NC for Thanksgiving this weekend for temperatures more like 50! And thank you!
DeleteSuch a cute look! We only got about an inch of snow where I lived, which is just enough to be annoying!

DeleteThank you so much for linking up! How great is this outfit?! I think I need that Lilly sweater in my life. Thanks for sharing even though it was snowing! Rain/snow... same thing, right? xo

Oh thanks! It's probably my new favorite sweater and yeah just the frozen form of rain! It feels about the same when you go back inside and everything melts haha
DeleteLove the color choice for your hunters, they are super cute! Also really love the welly sock touch. I have 5 pairs myself out here in washington so i wear them all the time! I think a yellow or white pair would look fabulous on you!
