Pantone Fall Colors for 2017: Grenadine and Tawny Port

Grenadine
Sweater | Striped tee | Statement necklace | Jumpsuit | Gingham dress

Tawny Port
Block heels | Tote bag | Statement earrings | Fur vest | Wool skirt

If you have been reading my blog for at least a year, you may remember I did a series of posts for the Pantone Fall Colors for 2016. And now, it's that time of year again! I'll be sharing some of my picks in these trending colors. I'm personally not a huge fan of fall colors. I may also still be bitter that I recently put away all of my seersucker. So this post series may be more for myself than anyone else...anyway these first two colors are Grenadine and Tawny Port. And I'm a big fan of both of them! I ended up buying a lot in the Tawny Port color last year, and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. I think these colors are both great compliments to navy and gray!

Lilly Pulitzer dress (really similar style here) | Similar pumps here, here, and here | Baublebar for Target earrings c/o | Lauren Ralph Lauren bag c/o | Prada sunglasses

If you missed this post, I styled one of my Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale dresses. And today, I'm sharing the other one! I tend to stick the same few favorite styles for Lilly Pulitzer items, but I thought I would try something different with this dress. And I love it! I've worn it on a Sunday for church, brunch, and shopping. And again to work, and I've gotten so many compliments on it! As with most Lilly items, I think the print is so fun but not quite as bright as some of my other similar ones. I have also tried wearing it belted, and I really like to have that option as well. And thanks to the long sleeves, I can see myself wearing it pretty far into fall here in Charlotte!

Gingham Dress

Brandy Melville dress from Nordstrom | Charming Charlie earrings c/o | Similar bag (mine is c/o Charming Charlie) | DSW heeled sandals | Prada sunglasses

I really didn't need another gingham item of clothing...but here I am with this gingham mini dress! I have never been much of a Brandy Melville fan until I noticed their new section at my local Nordstrom. I think it is an in-store only collection, but it is very patriotic and has some more classic styles that I really like! I didn't have anything against the brand before (although I don't really get why a lot of their pieces are "one size fits all"), I just haven't ever thought of them to fit my style before. But this dress is so comfortable, and of course I can't say no to the gingham print! I wore this dressed down a little bit with flat sandals and simpler jewelry to a beer festival in Charlotte last weekend. I thought it was perfect for the occasion, and it's great to just throw on for many end of summer events!

Mila Shift Dress

Lilly Pulitzer Mila dress (also available in the fall collection) | H&M shirt | Sam Edelman heels | Neely and Chloe bag (on sale!) | Kendra Scott earrings | Stella and Dot sunglasses c/o

Ever since I started working full time last year, I have always tried to figure out how to make Lilly Pulitzer dresses (that are typically thought of being worn on vacation) office appropriate. And I have found that the easiest way to do that is to just a button down shirt and heels. I scored this dress for about $100 off during the recent Lilly Pulitzer sale, and I am so excited I  found it! I now have this style of shift dress in 3 prints, I guess I just can't get enough of it! It is such a simple silhouette that can be dressed up or down with different shoes, jewelry, and bags. I typically find myself reaching for this style of dress for brunch, church, shopping, or work!

White After Labor Day

Gretchen Scott Designs shirt c/o thredUp | White jeans | Jack Rogers wedges | Mission Made Jewelry necklace c/o | Similar Kate Spade bag | Stella and Dot sunglasses c/o

I have never been a fan of wearing white after Labor Day. I have unfortunately put away my white dresses and skirts, but I'll be keeping the white jeans out for awhile. The temperatures are quickly getting cooler around here, but I'm keeping some summery vibes going with this colorful top that was on thredUp for under $30!

I'm adding a little more color with this handmade necklace from Mission Made Jewelry!
