J. Crew Spring 2015 New Arrivals

So many pretty spring items have recently become available at J. Crew! As if I didn't want winter to go away already, these are really having me anxious for warm and sunny days! Well at least days that I don't have to wear several layers including thick socks, snow boots, and a giant puffy coat. Although J. Crew has been my favorite store since about 8th grade, I have to be honest I haven't really liked what J. Crew has been doing since last fall. But this collection is changing my mind! I love all of the light blue, peach, and cobalt mixed with neutrals like white, gold, navy, and the tortoise in a lot of their new accessories. Here are some of my favorites/what I'll be stalking the sales rack for this season!

Wishlist Wednesday: Druzy

I've been really loving all of the druzy jewelry I've been seeing everywhere lately. It's so different and can give an edgy feel to any classic look! I love how sparkly it is, and how so many colors can go into one stone. Here are some items I have been liking lately (it's probably no surprise that a lot of it is Kendra Scott)!

The Oscars Red Carpet 2015 Favorites

As you probably know, the 2015 Oscars were last night! My favorite part of any award show is always the red carpet. I don't have a TV in my apartment but thanks to social media, I never have to actually watch the red carpet to see all of the gorgeous dresses. Here are some of my favorite looks from this year!
Lupita Nyong’o

I really love all of the pearls Lupito Nyong'o is wearing on this gorgeous Calvin Klein dress!
Anna Kendrick
via
Anna Kendrick just looks amazing!
Anna Faris
via
This dress on Anna Faris is just gorgeous! I didn't really see people talking about this one, but I just love all of the embellishment on it.
Reese Witherspoon
via
I'm loving this classic and simple look on Reese Witherspoon.
Robert Duvall and Luciana Duvall

I'm obsessed with this beautiful dress on Luciana Duvall. I've read a lot of tweets and articles about how her dress was too similar to Jennifer Lopez's but I don't think they're that similar, as gorgeous as hers was, I still like this one better :)
2015 Oscars: Red Carpet Arrivals Keira Knightley, 2015 Academy Awards

Kiera Knightley in Valentino, a little different for the red carpet, but gorgeous!
Emma Stone
via
Emma Stone, simply amazing!
Cate Blanchett

I think Cate Blanchett looks really nice in this simple dress, but I just really love the Tiffany necklace! There was a close up on Twitter that made me fall in love with it!
What was your favorite look this year?

#tbt Prom

I usually get a lot of prom dress questions on my Tumblr around this time of year. So here are some details on where I got my dresses, I'm a junior in college now so these are from 2011 and 2012. But I'll also include places to look for prom dresses!

For senior prom I wore this pink sequined Aidan Mattox dress I found on Bluefly.com, for about a quarter of the original price!

For junior prom I wore this navy and white BCBG Max Azria dress I bought from a local boutique. Unfortunately, we were not blessed with the gorgeous weather we had for senior prom, so we had to take pictures inside.

Since I'm really short, I clearly like short prom dresses. You can't really tell from those photos of the pink dress, but it's about the same length as the navy one. I really liked both of these dresses so I recommend both BCBG (especially their outlet if you have one near you!) and Aidan Mattox for your next prom or formal dress! I also suggest just checking out local boutiques, department stores, department store outlets like Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus Last Call, Rent the RunwayBluefly, Modcloth, Promgirl, Asos, and Lilly Pulitzer!

Blog Birthday

My blog is 2 years old today!
Thank you so much to everyone who has ever stopped by my little corner of the internet! I appreciate every page view, every comment, and every interaction via social media. I've really started to use this blog a lot more within the past year, and it has been so much fun! Since last year, I now have my own domain, a new layout, and much more consistent posts!
I love using this blog as an outlet to obviously talk about fashion, share my own style, and connect with so many other people with the same interests. And recently I've even met a few people through blogging, I really love this online community and I'm so happy to be a part of it! I can't wait for what the future has in store for this blog :)

Here are some of my favorite posts from the past year:
