As far as I'm concerned, velvet and ruffles are appropriate for any holiday party! I found this dress as part of an Instagram campaign with Altar'd State, and I can't wait to wear it to a party with friends this weekend. I'm all about this deep red color, the halter neckline, and the ruffles at the hem. I paired it with black tights, heels, and crystal jewelry. But I think it could be dressed down with a leather jacket, booties, and more understated jewelry as well.
