As most of my readers know, I have been training in ballet since I was 3 years old. I entered college as a dance major, but have since dropped to a dance minor after a back injury (that is now healed) and just a realization that ballet was not the best career choice for me, despite how much I have loved it my whole life. But ever since I was 10 years old when I first saw George Balanchine's ballet "Serenade" I knew that I had to be in that ballet before I stopped dancing. This week I started rehearsals for this ballet. It has been so incredibly exhausting because my days have started with a ballet class at 9 am, a pointe class after that and four hours of rehearsal, every day until 5. I've never been so sore and tired but I think it will be all worth it when I get to perform. Here are just some photos of the ballet performed by major ballet companies for my own inspiration, and so my readers know what I'm up to for the next few weeks!

This is gorgeous!! Wonderful inspiration. I've always found the grace and delicacy of ballerinas very inspiring.
