Summer Wishlist

It's basically already summer in North Carolina and has been for a few weeks now. There was this graphic that used to go around Tumblr and Pinterest about the south, and I always remember the part that says "where summer starts in April".  I truly appreciate that now, because for the last three years I was usually packing up my apartment after finals in 45 degree weather up in Erie PA! We actually had some snow flurries when I was walking to my last final of freshman year, which was just crazy for this southerner, because I was used to 80 degree weather at this time of year. Anyway, here are some items I've had my eye on lately for summer!

1- These Floral Fresco tie waist flared pants from Loft are just so fun. I usually stay away from these kinds of pants because they make me look shorter, but I think they would  be so cute with a black tank and neutral wedges!

2- I've had my eye on these Sam Edelman Felicia flats for a few months now. I wear flats to work every day and I have a few neutral pairs that I like, but one pair is just a little bit too big and I can't wear for that long. And the other pair is weird gray/nude tone that doesn't really go with much in the summer.

3- I've never actually owned a maxi dress, mostly because (just like with the flared pants) I think they make me look even shorter, and would need to be hemmed. But this one from J. Crew Factory comes in petite sizes, so I won't have to worry about it dragging on the ground.

4- This laser cut tote from Ann Taylor is so pretty, and if it's anything like the mini tote I bought from last year, it's the perfect size for me. It's big enough to hold the essentials and then some (even my DSLR camera as long as the short lens is on) but doesn't feel like a large bag.

5- It's no secret that I have a love for Lilly Pulitzer dresses. This Dusk silk dress is such a nice simple silhouette and the print is so much fun!

6- How adorable is the Paleta shirtdress from Anthropologie? It's a very classic style, with the cutest little ice cream print on it!

7- I've always really loved midi skirts and this one from Topshop is no exception. It's so elegant and such a gorgeous color.

8- I live in button down shirts, and I think this striped one from Banana Republic is such a nice blue, and would be so versatile.

Thanks for reading!
