Nightly Skincare Routine

I've been trying to do more beauty related posts lately, so I thought I would share my nightly skincare routine! These are just the products before I go to sleep, cleanser, makeup remover, detox mask, lip treatment, and acne treatment. If you have oily or acne prone skin like I do, I hope some of these products may be able to help your skin like they have helped mine.

1. Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil-free cleanser
I love this cleanser, I've mentioned it before in my makeup/skincare favorites post earlier in the spring. It's very simple, and feels like it's really cleaning my skin. However, it's really important to avoid your eyes when using it, and use a separate eye makeup remover. I tried to use it as an all-in-one sort of product the first time, and it really burns the eyes. So with that being said, it is the first product I use on my skin at night.

2. Neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover
This is just a nice product that will easily remove your eye makeup. I tend to wear a lot of mascara that is hard to get off with some makeup removers, but this one brings it right off. And it's oil-free so I know it won't cause any breakouts. I apply it right after I use the cleanser I mentioned above.

3. Colleen Rothschild detox face mask (c/o)
I've been getting lots of samples of face masks lately from Birchbox, so I have tried quite a few over the last few months. But this one is definitely my favorite! It has charcoal in it, that sort of makes you look like a statue while it is on your face, but it makes my skin feel so nice and soft. I use this about 2 or 3 times a week after cleanser and makeup remover. And you can get this face mask, or any other regular priced Colleen Rothschild product 20% off with code "CARA20" for the next week!

4. Epiduo topical acne gel (prescription)
I'm not sure what I would do without Epiduo. I've been using it for the last few years, you can read more about it and other acne-friendly skincare in this post. It is always the last thing on my skin, moisturizer can go over it, but I usually only moisturize in the morning before makeup.

5. Ever skin anti-aging lip treatment (c/o Stella and Dot)
I have been using this for the last few months, and I think it really makes a difference on my lips. They used to be really dry most of the time, and they are much more moisturized since I started using this. I notice a difference when I wear lipsticks that aren't very hydrating. It may be a coincidence because I started using it as it got warmer and my skin usually becomes less dry, but I really love this product! I use it after I have washed my face and taken all of my makeup off, before I put my Epiduo gel on.

Thanks for reading!

  1. The Kiehl's cleanser sounds lovely. I've been meaning to try more from their line.
