Fitness Friday XVII

*original post

Welcome back to Fitness Friday! I'm so excited to have a little more of an increased fitness schedule, as my hip has been feeling great lately! If you're new here, I tore the labrum in my hip back in March. I finished up with PT appointments last week, and I have barely needed to modify anything in my last few classes. Halfway into November will be 8 months since the injury, and it has all been worth the wait! I've been pretty consistent with 2 classes per week, and exercises at home twice a week. But I think I might be ready to switch out the home exercises for more classes. As always, full schedule below, along with some new food I have been trying, and some fun activewear. And in case you missed them, here are my Fitness Friday posts from August and September!

Food

  1. Similar to last month, with all of the traveling I haven't been branching out much with recipes, but I have been making some simple smoothie bowls as a snack between coming home from work and going to a workout. I just blend some almond milk, frozen mixed berries, a scoop of protein powder, and top it with granola and a little bit of peanut butter.
  2. I fell into the Instagram trap with seasonal Trader Joe's items, and tried two of them. The frozen Riced Cauliflower and Butternut Squash Risotto, which I liked with some added spinach and chicken. And in the snack category, I also really liked the Pumpkin Cranberry crisps with a little bit of goat cheese!
